Ways to Donate

Payroll Giving

What is payroll giving?
Payroll Giving is a simple, tax-effective way to donate an amount of your choice on a regular basis.  Donations come straight from your gross salary (before tax is deducted), giving immediate tax relief on those donations.  This means a monthly donation of £10 only costs you £7.80!  A regular flow of funding allows CLDF to plan for the future, and not only continue but also develop its vital work.

How do I get involved?
If you are an employee whose tax is deducted through Pay As You Earn (PAYE), all you need do is enquire with your payroll department.  They will give you a form to complete that allows you to nominate your charity and the amount you would like to give.  On each subsequent pay day, your donation will be taken straight from your gross salary (so a £5 contribution only makes a £3.90 difference to your pay pack!).  This can be adjusted or cancelled by you at any time.

Can I donate anonymously?
Yes, your choice of charity can remain confidential.  Your payroll department provides a nomination form.  You then fill this is and return it directly to the Payroll Giving Agency that your company works with (your company can supply the details).  The agency then makes the arrangements without revealing your chosen charity’s name to your employer.

What if my employer does not have a scheme in place?
Ask them to set one up!  It’s a very easy process - the company just signs a contract with a Payroll Giving Agency of their choice.   CLDF also has links with an organisation that will promote payroll giving in your workplace at no cost to you, or your employers.  Please call 0121 212 6022 for more information, or click here to send an email.

Regular Giving

Regular donations are essential to CLDF, allowing us to plan for the future.  If you are able to offer regular support you can quickly and easily set up a direct debit using the online form under the donation tab.  Alternatively contact the CLDF office team on 0121 212 3839.  You can also give a single donation in this way.  Whatever support you are able to give, it really will make a difference to families of children with liver disease.  Thank you.
