A huge thank you to everyone who took part in Big Yellow Friday 2026. We’re delighted to report that our awareness and fundraising day raised a fantastic £20,000 to help support young people and families affected by childhood liver disease.
From bake sales and wearing yellow to creative crafting and clocking up 20,000 steps in a day, it’s clear that the fundraising was fun, and whether your event raised £40 or £4,000, we’re truly grateful that you joined in. Special mention must go to Sophie, who managed to generate £952 from daughter Luna’s nursery, her dad’s workplace and her children’s school even though she herself was confined to bed with pneumonia all week!
Big Yellow Friday is about awareness as much as fundraising and we’re delighted to hear how some schools made a real effort in this regard. Gemma, whose daughter was only diagnosed with liver disease a few months ago, said: “The whole school came together to support the cause and the video Hattie made was shown in all assemblies”. And Alicia, whose daughter’s school all wore yellow and did a special assembly, said: “There is no greater reward than making an impact. Luna’s entire school have gained important knowledge that can truly make a difference in the world, my heart is full.”
However you took part, we hope you enjoyed it and we are so grateful that you did. You’ve helped us ensure that our Children’s and Families Service is here for young people and their parents when they need it most. A Big Yellow thank you to you all.
