This month’s fabulous fundraisers are ARH Gym in Alton, Hampshire who are running charity bootcamps in a bid to raise £1000 for CLDF.
Andy, one of the gym’s co-owners explains why CLDF was a natural choice when it came to charity fundraising:
“One of our friends had a life-saving liver transplant when he was young and is now a regular at the gym,” he explains. “More recently another friend, whose daughter was born with liver disease, has donated part of his liver to her and she’s doing really well. It means we know a little bit about the impact of childhood liver disease on a family, so to raise funds for a charity which supports families affected was a natural choice.”
ARH is running a series of sessions which enable people to boost fitness and raise funds at the same time.
“We’ve just used Instagram to spread the word and it’s been great to raise awareness as well as funds,” says Andy. “We’ve raised £380 so far and are determined to hit our target.”
