We’re delighted to announce that the CLDF Chefs’ Gala Dinner which took place at the Jumeirah Carton Tower in Knightsbridge on March 18 has raised £106,500.
It’s a tremendous total to raise in one evening and once again our thanks go to everyone involved, especially the chefs from the country’s finest hotels and restaurants who gave up their time to make it such a special evening and to those who supported our raffle and auctions so enthusiastically.
We had a wonderful surprise at the end of the evening when Benjamin, Sebastian, Eliot and Kaspar Budd took to the stage to announce that they would like to make a donation of £25,000 to CLDF in memory of their brother, Dominick.
It was a touching and hugely generous gesture which provided a fitting close to a memorable night and will enable us to continue making a difference to young people with liver disease. Thank-you boys.
