CLDF has joined forces with the British Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (BSPGHAN) to co-fund start up research grants with an overall aim of encouraging research in liver disease in children and young people.
The aim is to support preliminary research which will contribute significantly to a subsequently larger research grant proposal. There are no restrictions on the scope of projects, which may focus on gaining insights into the causes of liver disease or improving diagnosis, management and longer-term outcomes. Projects may be stand-alone or linked to one or more existing studies. It is planned to award three grants, each for up to a maximum of £10,000. One will be for a project relating to biliary atresia. The other two can be for any aspect of paediatric liver diseases.
Applications are open to members of associate members of BSPGHAN. Proposals must be submitted to Alison Taylor firstname.lastname@example.org for a deadline of 8am on Tuesday 20th November.
