The European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) have launched a new clinical advice guide on the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in children. The guide is aimed at paediatricians and patients and covers:
- the causes of childhood HCV
- the natural history and treatment of chronic HCV infection
- information regarding approved drugs
- recommendations for treatment in children both under and over the age of 12
