“We would never miss it for anything; always amazing the progress in research in just the 16 years since our journey began and still learn something new each time”

Parent from National Conference 2016

This year’s event will be taking place in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire. We’re right in the centre of the historic town at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, CLDF is providing a crèche facility for the under 8s and the chance to go on a fun-filled trip to Drayton Manor for the over 8s.

If you would like to stay a little longer, which we would highly recommend, there is the option to join us for an evening meal and stay overnight. This gives you the chance to have a day out with your friends and family on Sunday exploring  Shakespeare’s Stratford upon Avon . We have also planned a lovely boat ride along Stratford’s riverside on Sunday morning.

All of the events over the conference weekend are heavily subsidised by the charity to ensure that everyone who would like to can attend. Booking fees for the event are as follows:-

Conference – £10 per delegate (refundable after the conference on request)
Trip to Drayton Manor – £10 per child with liver condition/transplant and £10 per sibling
Crèche – £5 per child with liver condition/transplant and £5 per sibling
Evening Meal – £10 per group (can include extended family) and free for medical professionals
Accommodation – £40 per group (refundable after the conference on request)

Please note accommodation is for immediate family only (i.e. parent/carer/child with liver condition/sibling(s)).

If you’d like to make a booking for the National Conference and Family Weekend please follow the appropriate link below:-

If you’d like to book for more than five people, or have any other queries, please call us on 0121 212 6008.

Please Note: Booking acknowledgements will be sent via e-mail (not post) so please keep an eye on your inbox!

Attendance at the conference is dependent upon the correct paperwork being completed and returned by the appropriate deadlines e.g. medical forms for children attending the crèche/trip. Booking will be on a first come first served basis, so please book in plenty of time.

Whilst we’ll do our best to allocate your family a room, we only have a limited number of rooms available therefore your accommodation booking isn’t finalised until you’ve received a confirmation email from CLDF. Room layout/size won’t be confirmed until closer to the event.

If extended family members (e.g. grandparents) or medical professionals would like to stay overnight they will need to book their own accommodation directly with the hotel. Reservations at Crowne Plaza can be made by clicking here. They are however welcome to attend the evening meal on Saturday 6th October as part of your group booking.

For alternative accommodation, there’s a variety of hotels in the immediate vicinity. Visit for details. You will also find plenty of ideas there on places to visit so you can make the most of your weekend in the heart of England!
