Bookings are now open for CLDF’s National Conference and Family Weekend on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th October 2018.
The weekend is a brilliant opportunity to:-
- Meet and share with other families and young people in an informal setting
- Meet with many of the UK’s childhood liver disease specialists
- Find out about treatments, new research, psychological and social issues in childhood liver disease
- Find out how CLDF can support your journey with childhood liver disease
This year’s event will be taking place in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire. We’re right in the centre of the historic town at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Following the success of the 2016 event, we will again be offering an option for a family dinner on Saturday evening and an opportunity to stay overnight, so that everyone can make the most of meeting new families and friends.
Entertaining the children and young people…
Whilst parents are enjoying the conference, children and young people over eight years old will be whisked away to Drayton Manor for a day of fun. We will also have a crèche for children under eight years old. Babies and children are not allowed into any of the conference sessions so that delegates can listen without distraction.
All of the events over the conference weekend are heavily subsidised by the charity to ensure that everyone who would like to can attend. Booking fees for the event are as follows:-
Conference – £10 per delegate (refundable after the conference on request)
Trip to Drayton Manor – £10 per child with liver condition/transplant and £10 per sibling
Crèche – £5 per child with liver condition/transplant and £5 per sibling
Evening Meal – £10 per group (can include extended family) and free for medical professionals
Accommodation – £40 per group (refundable after the conference on request)
Please note accommodation is for immediate family only (i.e. parent/carer/child with liver condition/sibling(s)).
If you’d like to make a booking for the National Conference and Family Weekend please follow the appropriate link below:-
If you’d like to book for more than five people, or have any other queries, please call us on 0121 212 6008.
Booking acknowledgements will be sent via e-mail (not post) so please keep an eye on your inbox!
Attendance at the conference is dependent upon the correct paperwork being completed and returned by the appropriate deadlines e.g. medical forms for children attending the crèche/trip. Booking will be on a first come first served basis, so please book in plenty of time.
Whilst we’ll do our best to allocate your family a room, we only have a limited number of rooms available therefore your accommodation booking isn’t finalised until you’ve received a confirmation email from CLDF. Room layout/size won’t be confirmed until closer to the event.
If extended family members (e.g. grandparents) or medical professionals would like to stay overnight they will need to book their own accommodation directly with the hotel. Reservations at Crowne Plaza can be made by clicking here. They are however welcome to attend the evening meal on Saturday 6th October as part of your group booking.
For alternative accommodation, there’s a variety of hotels in the immediate vicinity. Visit www.shakespeare-country.co.uk for details. You will also find plenty of ideas there on places to visit so you can make the most of your weekend in the heart of England!
