It was fantastic to receive such support

April 9, 2025

Fundraising in the workplace doesn’t necessarily have to be about adopting a charity of the year. Just one day can make a real difference, as Gloucester based Permali demonstrated on Big Yellow Friday.

The team fully embraced the Big Yellow Friday spirit by wearing yellow, baking yellow-themed cakes, and decorating the office in yellow. Through these fun and engaging activities, staff came together and raised an amazing £974 to support our Children’s and Families Services.

They were inspired to take part by hearing the experience of their colleague, Neil, whose family have received information and support since his son was diagnosed with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency.

“William is on the transplant list, he’s doing well and enjoying school but we’re hoping we get the call soon,” says Neil. “From a personal perspective, it was fantastic to receive such support from my colleagues at Permali. I’m delighted that, as a business, we were able to achieve such a total and I know this money will be used to support families in the same way my family has received support.”

If you think your  work colleagues would be happy to show their support with a fundraiser, on Big Yellow Friday or any other day, email [email protected] to see how we can help.
