Young People’s Service Internship (9 months)

Part Time – 4 days per week – salary £19,000 (pro rata)

Interview date: Friday 22nd October at our office in central Birmingham (for an immediate start)

A unique opportunity for an engaging, empathetic, enthusiastic and sociable Youth Work and Community Development graduate to experience and enhance our digital youth service engaging with young people across the UK living with liver disease alongside planning and participating in a face-to-face residential project.

To build knowledge, skills and experience working for Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, a national health charity based in Birmingham focusing on children/young people with a liver disease, supporting them and their family throughout their liver journey to achieve their full potential. Children’s Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF) take action against the effects of childhood liver disease, providing information, support, research funds and a voice for all affected. At least twenty children are diagnosed with a liver disease every week in the UK. CLDF is the only UK charity dedicated to fighting all forms of childhood liver disease, for which there is still no cure. Working from CLDF’s Birmingham office (36 Great Charles Street, B3 3JY) on a Thursday and home-based for the other days.

Working within a small team, the internship will be fully support by the Head of Support and the rest of the CLDF team. This is a perfect paid internship opportunity to enhance skills and increase experience in the youth work, charity and health sector.
