Birmingham businesses had the opportunity to find out why they should be turning the city yellow on March 1 when they attended a special reception hosted by Children’s Liver Disease Foundation about their annual fundraising day, Big Yellow Friday.
The event which took place at the Lost & Found, was attended by the Lord Mayor, Councillor Yvonne Mosquito, who called on businesses to support the Birmingham based charity by joining in with some yellow themed fun. “We’re the only UK charity dedicated to fighting all childhood liver diseases and we rely on voluntary donations so Big Yellow Friday is a really important day for us,” said Alison Taylor, Chief Executive of Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.
“So it was great to be able to explain to businesses how easy it is to join in and how valuable those funds are to us. And we were delighted to have the support of the Lord Mayor who was very keen that local businesses should get involved.”
Joining in with Big Yellow Friday by holding a Wear Yellow Day or a bake sale is simple. For details email firstname.lastname@example.org
