CLDF’s national conference, which took place on Saturday 11 October at the National Motorcycle Museum near Solihull, was a great success with over 250 family members, healthcare professionals, charity workers and volunteers attended.
CLDF's national conference enables families to hear from some of the UK's leading specialists in childhood liver disease and meet with other parents and carers. Leading experts in the field presented updates on a range of subjects including Biliary Atresia, Liver Transplant, Wilson’s Disease, Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, PFIC and Alagille Syndrome.
Members of Birmingham Round Table took over 50 children with liver disease on a trip to Drayton Manor Park, supervised by St John's Ambulance and play specialists from Birmingham Children's Hospital presided over the crèche.
