Here at CLDF we know that when your child starts or moves to a new school you will want to ensure that the school has all the information they need on your child’s liver condition.

We also know the importance of helping teaching staff to have a full understanding of how a child’s liver disease may impact on your child’s learning as well as their overall wellbeing. CLDF’s Education Pack has been developed to be given to your child’s nursery, school or college, informing them about a child or young person’s liver condition. The pack contains general information about the workings of the liver and the child’s specific liver condition, information on problems which can arise and action they should take.

“The education pack was so useful when Kayleigh started school. It helped the staff to understand that she is not ‘ill’ but has some special needs. Now they are on top of everything from her school dinners and medication to what sun cream she should have. And if they are not certain of anything they just call me. The pack has been a brilliant starting point for their ‘Kayleigh handbook’!”
