CLDF launches new service for 11 and 12 year olds

CLDF is introducing another new service for young people.

From February, our Young People’s Officer, Louise, will be hosting monthly Zoom sessions exclusively for 11 and 12 year olds.

The informal sessions will be an opportunity for young people in that age group to meet others who live with a liver condition, share experiences and most importantly have some fun!

“Once children reach the top of junior school or move into senior education, they don’t necessarily enjoy the same activities as younger children and want a bit of independence,” says Louise. “Unfortunately, because our dedicated young people’s platform, Hive, is Facebook-based, they cannot join that until they are 13. These monthly sessions will provide a safe space for those in this age group, to meet each other, meet the CLDF team and realise there is a whole back-up here for them as they navigate the teenage years.

“We’ve got lots of fun activities planned and can’t wait to get to know this new generation of CLDF young people!”

The Zoom sessions will take place on the first Tuesday of the month from 4:15 – 5:15pm, starting on February 7th.

If you would like your child to join please email  youngpeople@childliverdisease.org to receive the Zoom link.
