CLDF is delighted to welcome Joanne Taylor as our new Information and Awareness Lead.
Joanne will be responsible for the development, maintenance and dissemination of all of our information about childhood liver disease to young people, families, medical professionals and the general public.
She joins us after 16 years with Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where she was a Clinical Librarian.
“I’m passionate about providing good quality, evidence-based medical information which is appropriate for the audience,” says Joanne. “And the range and complexity of childhood liver disease means there is so much scope to this role.
“I’m new to the charity sector so I’m excited to be working with a range of individuals and organisations to produce information which we know is vital both in helping medical professionals to diagnose childhood liver disease and families to understand its implications.”
Chief Executive, Rebecca Cooper, added: “Provision of information on these rare and hard to understand conditions is a significant part of our work. Joanne’s past experience makes her ideally suited to maintain and improve the high standards we have set and we’re delighted to welcome her to the team.”
