For Darian, who is mum to three-year-old Wesley, Big Yellow Friday will be the culmination of a Big Yellow Week at work!
“I work for my mum’s business, Wexpresif in Livingston, and we run art classes for children and adults of all abilities. So, during the first week of March, everyone who comes in for classes will be encouraged to wear yellow and there will be the option for parents and carers to make a donation.
“I’ve supported Big Yellow Friday ever since Wesley was diagnosed with biliary atresia as a baby and I received support and information from Children’s Liver Disease Foundation. This year it’s even more important to me, as Wesley’s health has deteriorated and he was listed for transplant in December, although he still remains his happy, cheeky little self!
“Raising awareness of childhood liver disease and funds to help children like Wesley is something I’m really passionate about, and a Big Yellow Week will be a great way to do this – I’m excited to see how much we can raise!”
